Grand Mayan Ultra Aged Tequila is dark in color with the sweet aroma of nuts and a distinctive scent. The taste is extraordinary, very smooth, and pleasurable to the palate. Tequila Extra Anejo (ultra aged) A new classification was added in the summer of 2006, labeling any Tequila aged more than 3 years, an "Ultra Aged", and is so rich that it becomes difficult to distinguish it from other quality aged spirits.

Caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and cooked agave aromas practically jump from the glass in this highly-praised and perfectly-aged añejo. This tequila is so rich and complex that some people are even able to detect pineapple, peach, orange blossom, nutmeg, and raisin in the nose. Once in your mouth, the full cooked agave experience continues with a thick and oily texture that coats your mouth in a very soothing way. Butterscotch, caramel, toffee, citrus, and hazelnuts are common flavors that people identify.

Bouquet includes subtle notes of road tar, white pepper and just-harvested green agave with nuances of palm oil and sage. The palate entry is off-dry, spicy, and vegetal; at midpalate the taste profile turns surprisingly astringent and lean, ending up on a flax-like note.

Reserva de la Familia is the world’s first extra-añejo tequila. It is hand selected from the Cuervo family’s private collection. Each bottle is made using only blue agave harvested at its peak maturity after seven to twelve years of growing in the field, and aged in French and American oak barrels for a minimum of three years. Reserva de la Familia is best served in a snifter, allowing for full appreciation of its flavors, aroma, and velvety finish.

Don Julio 1942, an exquisite Tequila Añejo created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the opening of Don Julio's first distillery.

In 1942, Don Julio Gonzalez founded his distillery, La Primavera, under the brilliant sunshine of Los Altos de Jalisco. From the cultivation of the Agave to the bottling of the final product, he refined an intricate process that produces one of Mexico's most exquisite Tequilas.

The process begins by hand selecting Agave plants that take seven to ten years to mature. The Agave is then slowly roasted for 70 hours in traditional masonry ovens and double distilled in a special alambique. CAVA DE ORO is a tequila of exceptional quality and flavor. Artfully distilled and bottled in el Arenal, Jalisco, Mexico, under the careful guidance of the Partidas family, third generation master distillers.

The blue weber agave used to produce Cava de Oro Tequila Extra Añejo is harvested at 7 to 10 years, from both the Los Altos and Tequila Valley regions of Jalisco. Instead of using the familiar ex-bourbon American oak barrels for aging, the distillery utilizes ex-red wine French oak barrels, where this Extra Añejo spends 5 years maturing. The extra Añejo offering is aged five years versus the typical three year minimum which produces its dark amber color and a complexity on the nose which includes cinnamon, caramel, vanilla and nutmeg. To be sipped neat or on the rocks and it's finish lingers delicately on the palate.

Cultivated in the red soils of the highlands region of Jalisco, estate grown agave is given great care and nourishment, encouraging optimal growth and ideal sugar concentration. Mature harvested piñas endure a 72 hour slow-cooking process consisting of a 24 hour continuous cooking period, 24 hour resting period and finally a 24 hour cooling period with the oven doors open. Fermentation and distillation occur under carefully supervised and temperature controlled conditions. Each bottle is wax sealed manually, to prevent leakage and premature oxidation.
