Caribou Crossing Single Barrel Canadian Whisky is a Canadian Whisky that was distilled and matured in the province of Alberta before being hand-selected by Mayville himself. It is then shipped down to the US and bottled at the Buffalo Trace Distillery and released twice a year, in the spring and later in the fall. Composed of an undisclosed mash bill, Caribou Crossing Single Barrel is NAS Canadian whisky matured for a minimum of 3+ years in single casks (estimated to be ex-bourbon) and is finished to 40% ABV. The nose opens with a slightly fruity aroma, along with notes of citrus, vanilla, caramel, and honey. Matured in a single cask, this highly prized whisky is produced in limited quantities and was awarded a score of 93 points overall from the Whisky Advocate.
